John is Counsel to the firm. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business, banking and commercial law.

John has been a commercial and banking attorney for over 37 years. As a Managing Director and Associate General Counsel for JPMorgan Chase, where he worked for 30 years, John led their Credit Markets legal team’s support of 5 sub-lines of business, including asset-based lending, equipment finance and syndicated lending. He has represented asset based and cash flow lenders in domestic and cross border, syndicated and bilateral lending transactions. In the area of creditors’ rights, John has represented lenders in commercial loan workouts and restructurings. During his years in-house he represented the Bank in a variety of policy, regulatory and compliance matters and managed outside counsel relationships, both domestically and internationally.

John is also a trained mediator and a member of the New York State Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section. He has been active in a variety of community endeavors in his home community of Rochester, New York, including 20 years of service as the President, Treasurer and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Volunteer Legal Services Project of Monroe County, Inc.
